Growing up during the Cultural Revolution in China until after college in the mid-80', Cheng is an Economist by training (Univ. of Cincinnati), Principal Member of Tech Staff by vocation (20 years working for a major telecom Corp), currently resides with his wife and daughter on both sides of the Pacific (in Shanghai and North Carolina). Now, he is a freelancer, Chinese-American cross-cultural messenger, and award-winning author of his debut memoir, From Tea to Coffee: the Journey of an "Educated Youth," the Finalist of the 2021 Best Book Awards sponsored by American Book Fest.
